    Pre-offers

    PSA:
Pre-offers are rolling out people. If your kid hasn’t gotten one from your current team, or your targeted team, in the next few days, better start preparing your back-up plan ... your kid is a bubble player.

    Got a pre-offer but we're moving on.

Players decline pre-offers all the time, nothing new there. But I assume you got your pre-offer for the club you are moving to as well, otherwise you might want to hold off declining your first pre-offer just yet.

This fall will be the start of our D's 2nd club year, U12 in fall. We are curious as to why you are moving on?
Our D's club's fees, including uniforms appear to be increasing SUBSTANTIALLY for this upcoming fall season. We would understand any small increases year to year. However, we are curious as to what may be standard club MO for these yearly increases. It appears our annual fee may increase by $400+ & uniform increase (new cycle), $100+
        Thoughts/comparisons?

Not the poster but people leave for all kinds of reasons -player wants to move up or move down, lost interest, dissatisfied with coaching or club, money, team falling apart. A 400 dollar increase is somewhat high but you should ask the club why. They may have added a tournament or more winter practices that you're not aware of.

I know all top teams (DA/ECNL/NPL) on girls side have and are doing pre-offers right now. Regional teams might still be another week or so away.

Sorry. Not true this year. I know of at least two teams in the DA/ECNL/NPL category that are NOT giving out contracts prior to the season ending, as the coach(es) have said as much to the players.

Is it just me or does it seem like one person is having a conversation with themselves in this thread?

Some people DO love to hear themselves talk!

Then they might find a good chunk of their players already committed to other clubs by the time they do tryouts. Sucks, but it’s the way it is.

Regional teams on the South Shore are sending them as well

Sorry, that may be the public message, but they are without a doubt giving pre-offers to kids they want to stay on the teams

Not a fan of the pre-offer system, but I know it’s not going away. So within those constraints, soooo happy to be signed sealed delivered for next year. The spring sideline drama is at fever pitch.

Yes it's nice when you know that's where you want to be and don't have to deal with the drama and stress.
