Just released and no CT kids in it. Three girls from same Quickstrike FC NPL team. That's recruiting the easy way.

It's not a great program and Storrs is a tough sell to some. I'm sure the lawsuit and uncertainty about a coaching replacement didn't help recruiting either

That is an underwhelming recruiting. Hence the reason the coaching staff will be short lived at UConn. New head coach but MR was the asst that recruited these players. Poor spring season as well does not bode well for the future.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostCT kids didn't want to play for UCONN. The school does not offer decent academic scholarships, and their scholarships for women's soccer are laughable. The team is on the decline, and the quality iffy. There are much better places to play college soccer. Plus, UCONN doesn't like recruiting in CT.

That uncertainty is not lifted just because MR was chief recruiter. It takes several years for a head coach to make an impact on the recruiting trail.

A non-traditional student who's a pro overseas, a couple of NPL players, and an Albertson kid.
Brilliant.

UConn has gotten A lot nicer over the years. Athletics is taking a huge hit being in the AAC. Women’s soccer has been run by MR and ZS for years. LT has just collected checks. The success of UConn is firmly on the shoulders of MR now. Sink or swim!!
How were the spring results so far?
