    Elm City Express

They won Division 3 last year and had a successful season bringing in fans. Are they coming back for Year 2? Have not heard or seen anything?

Yes, of course they’re coming back for year 2. Their website completely sucks and they do a horrendous job of marketing and PR. Surprising for a team that won the league in their first year. Their first game is less than two months away, had to look at the league website to determine this. Hopefully they’ll get their act together in terms of the business side because on the field they have a decent product. Seems like they have no clue how to promote. I went to 3 games last season and it was a good time.

Funny that you say that. I had "liked" them on FB and there has been nothing about their upcoming season. Last year there was quite a bit. of promotion. We went to several games and it was fun, inexpensive, super convenient. Hopefully they continue to do well as it's a strong asset to the area.

Got to go to 3 of their games last year. Was very impressed with the level of play. Some quality players and by the end of the season their home games filled Yale bleachers. Would guess around 2,000 fans. Hope they are back. Good for CT soccer.

It’s already been established that they are back. During their playoff run, the attendance definitely increased. Agree with you, the games were fun and the level of play was decent. Fun night for the kids too.

Not 100% sure they will be back. Heard they lost too much money.

I hope that the soccer community comes out and supports this team the way they did last year. They put a quality product on the field, it was inexpensive and a lot of fun.

Also can’t fold after one season. Hopefully they’ll put someone in charge that can right the ship (if in fact it’s even true that they are losing money).

Last year was year 1. How many businesses don't make money year 1? Much will depend on how deep their pockets are/how long they can go + future potential. Unfortunately there are many soccer ventures that have disappeared over the years.

How does anyone know whether they made or lost money? Because you read it on TS?

Elm City awakes from its slumber with a flurry of recent social media posts including tryout posts. Feels like it’s late and rushed
