Can we please be honest and tell us parents with younger kids. If you feel your kid is a very good player, what league should our daughters play in. Our kids are now hearing they want to play D1 soccer so that is their goal. We dont care if it is high level or low level. Thanks

Kids don't care, they'll have fun no matter what league or what Club. It's the parents with the ego. Think wisely & go to the club with the hottest Moms.

So many kids drop out of soccer in middle school - they want to focus on other things, their skills plateau (or they're not driven enough to work at it). Puberty often means bigger hips and boobs = lots of players slow down vs their peers. By U13 then you want to get into a better league -IF That's what she wants and you can afford the fees, travel and time. At the rate things are going there will be a nother "super league" in a few years to titles don't matter at this point. Coaching, coaching, coaching.

Just choose the right coach/team for your daughter. It can be a long season if you make the wrong choice

ECNL, DA, USYS National League. All three will result in a lot of exposure to college coaches. However, the best way to get noticed is to be proactive and contact the coaches directly. Find the best fit for your son / daughter, and keep in contact with the coach.

This is true and relatively good advice. Unfortunately, it is still a crap shoot because kids develop at different speeds too. Today's stud is tomorrow cut play. Today's bench player can grow into a 90 min starter. That is why the advice above is important, find the right coach.
