Sunrise parent here. This whole thing is overblown, my daughter is happy at Sunrise and loves her new coach and teammates. We've done ECNL and left right before DA and can honestly say that Sunrise was 100/ the right choice. My advice to all the parents is to find somewhere you daughter is pushed and is happy.

Alas the sadness of that statement is all too true. Sunrise can brag all they want. Their theory cannot be proven. Their teams cannot participate in GDA. They cannot play in ECNL. Keep beating on the rec teams.

We keep putting players into college. that's what we beat our chest about. and actually more than ECNL and GDA combined in South Florida.

I think our theory is proven based on the fact that you add every club from Palm beach to Miami and add all their commits to college together GDA and ECNL included. then double that. That is what we have and that is your proof. That was easy

I give Sunrise maybe 2 or 3 years max as a viable club. After that it will be purely recreational. If it doesn't become a recreational club there will be no more Sunrise and then it will be known as Sunset.

Isn't that what was said 3 years ago when boca United got ECNL. Why are you so obsessed with Sunrise? They are supposed to have gone away years ago and still remain the best option in south Florida. Most college commits, most success and better training.

Keep going with that approach. Want to see your future? Look at Team Boca. They used to have full teams every year committed to top programs. Along came ECNL and then GDA. What did they do? Same thing as 20 years ago. It worked then, so it should work now, right?

Did you see their commitment list for the last few years? How about 2018? Yep, me too. Still waiting.

Good luck Sunrise. You'll be the best rec league in town. Just ask Team Boca, Davie, Coral Springs...

Boca United should be gone. The only thing keeping them alive is their connections with DA and GDA. And if they don't pull it together soon, those will be gone.

But unlike Sunrise, at least they have something to offer.

What exactly is that? 13-0 losses to tophat? Terrible administration? Awful fields? Thousands of canceled practices? Minimal college commitments? Miserable coaches?

Like I said. BU should be gone. If they didn't have that golden carrot of DA and GDA, i doubt they could pull together a minimal rec league.
