Ask them (and pay your fee).

Review your contract. There is usually a paragraph listing the fee and process for it.

But...remember that most clubs cannot add your player to their roster this late in the year. They can practice, but usually cannot play in any league games (state cup, local league, etc). Tournaments are OK.

I am referring to non-DA soccer.

If they want to play in state cup they need to be on the roster by 2/28 at 5pm. State Cup rosters can not be changed after that. (date is later in March for U19)

You must be desperate or new to Soccer to come on this board and ask this type of question.

rec soccer is the way to go. This way everyone get equal playing time, you do not have to show up to practice and you have a better chance to playing the position you desire.

With the FYSA State Cup rosters being frozen at 5 pm today please note that, unless the player's primary residence has moved 100 miles away, no FYSA registered club has any obligation to release any player when that release request has been received after December 1st and no FYSA registered club is allowed to remove any player from a team roster or release that player from the club if that player's team is subject to a roster freeze.

of course they can, so long as they meet rostering deadlines which are not all in effect at the same time for FYSA tourneys and have no effect on local tournaments.
