That's a risky bet.
Depending on the club or distance to a different club, some may look to go back to ECNL.

ECNL is now a very valuable option to get players exposure. Sure DA might be top dog but ECNL right behind it. Sure some players are not quite DA caliber but I'd bet you if yours were too you would be looking at the next best option and that's ECNL.

As of today it seems that it will be joint '02-'03 however:
Original statement '02-03 joint for '18-19 season
Nov/Dec ? Meeting with DA Clubs DOC's - US Soccer was considering separating '02-'03 as they had considerable feedback from clubs that wanted this.
January DOC meeting Published '02-'03 as single age group other than Frontier (Texas) regions which would "pilot" separate '02 & '03 age groups
Rumor (Not Fact) => Club DOC's have gone back to US Soccer and asked them to re-evaluate separate 02 & 03 age groups for '18-'19 season
I would place the odds high on joint age groups '02-'03 for '18-'19 season. Two official presentations keep these as a joint group for '18-'19. I would not say there is no chance of splitting them still, however, I think it is more likely they will be joint.
