    FYSA does it again

This joke of an association cannot even follow their own rules and regulations!
In the U12G President group advancements it clearly states that teams with the most points advance as wild card teams after group winners automatically go to the round of16!
FYSA advances teams with 3 points and leave teams with 4 points out of the round of 16.
Fuzzy math and the FYSA Genius strikes again!

Not sure where you are reading - FYSA's posted 2018 Presidents Cup Groupings & Team Advancements clearly states:

    U12 Boys:
    14 Groups - #1 & #2 from each group advance to Round 2
    + 4 WC = 2 South, 1 North, and 1 Central

They have done it right based on these rules.

You must be from Coral Springs with your 4 point third place finish and negative four goal differential...the only 4 point team that didn't move on...reading comprehension not very good, eh?

lol if this is directly from FYSA it's for sure another FYSA joke. Both TBU teams get in with only 3 points, but Oldsmar, Space Coast and Indian River don't get in with 4 points. Oldsmar really getting screwed since they finished 2nd in group just like TBU-PH and TBU-Largo. Need that Charlie Slagle money Oldsmar, keep those FYSA pockets hapy

pretty sure they go with most points but do it in PPG, so 3 point s in only 2 games is better PPG than 3 points in 3 games

the 7 wild cards should be as follows based on "points" not politics

              Central Region -
              Group 1 = Oldsmar - 4 pts
              Group 2 = WFF - 6 pts

              North Region
              Group 1 =
              FKK Krush - 6 pts
              Space Coast - 4 pts

              Group 2 =
              Brevard - 4 pts

              South Region -

              Group 1 = Wellington - 6 pts
              Group 2 = Royal Palm Beach - 6 pts

This leaves Indian River out due to less goals even though they finished with 4 pts
No team with 3 points should be able to advance even if they were in a group of 3!

That would be completely wrong because that means that FYSA is assuming that a team would earn at least 1 pt if they had a 3rd game because of being placed in a group of 4.

The rules says most points not based on # of teams in group.

A heartbeat and brainwaves are all you needed to advance in the Boys U15. Three teams with 0 points advanced.

Doesnt the TBU Largo coach, whose team got in with only 3 points, have a parent affiliated with FYSA?

Some groups have 3 teams, the majority have 4, so obviously a formula is needed to ensure the groups of 3 are not at a disadvantage for only playing 2 games. FYSA used points per game to determine the standings.

This is a complete lie and pure example of FYSA adjusting to fix their good old boy network.
                            Politics at it's best.

This only benefitted 2 TBU teams and 1 of those teams has a Parent as a data official.

This age group knows the real story

I'm calling B.S. You can accuse FYSA of a lot of things but they are too disorganized for "organized crime." They may have written some funky rules (they do a lot of that) but there is no way they are "point shaving" to benefit one local team over another.
