    looking for the fast track

My daughter used to dominate on her town team. She stopped playing a couple of years ago. She has caught the soccer bug again and now really wants to play at a top college. What club do recommend that can help her achieve this lofty goal with the possibility of maybe even a national team someday? She is 17.

Read absolutely everything written here and take it as gospel.

Assuming this is true from the OP, here is what you do:

--Have her guest practice with a few top MA u18 teams
--Pay for a one on one with a DA coach to get his or her honest feedback
      --Prepare a highlight tape
      --Start calling on college coaches
--Find out where she wants to go to school and when walk on tryouts are held

Thank you. Someone told me not to waste my time here but they were obviously wrong. That sounds like some sound advice!

Pay for an assessment from a DA coach? Who does that? She’s trying out, remember?

I can't believe someone actually thought the thread OP was legit. You all have fallen for his nonsense again!

My daughter is 18. She's waiting on college acceptances as we speak. Is it too late to get a soccer scholarship?

Cue the "your kid can play rec and still play on a college team" chant

Congrats, BTNT, on another award-winning thread. Talk about sick and disturbed.

Take the summer and play on the beaches of Brazil instead. Can probably do it as a nanny. I hear people will be sending their kids down there to learn to play from the mythical brazilian beach soccer kids.

If she stayed in shape she can definitely make it happen. See if she can get on an ECNL team.

This is just like a former executive jumping on the mommy track and then trying to get back on the executive track. Anything is possible if you are willing to pay the price. The real issue in this scenario is whether or not the player is actually committed or is this just a passing fancy.

Why not try to do ECNL now and then walk on at a college freshman year and continue the push to transfer to a more preferred school year 2?

Not necessarily. Depends on what skills she has been acquiring with her time. How do the skills acquired in having to parent well not contribute to skills needed to be a quality executive?
