The A level senior course requires ten days on site (2-5 day sessions). Many coaches have to work other jobs, on top of coaching. Wh can afford to take that much time off of work? If USSF wants better coaches they need to help cover the costs. I know some clubs do, but it doesn't happen very often.

USSF does not want better coaches. It does not want better soccer. It does not want American players to be the best in the world and playing overseas. It wants money, and it wants MLS to be the only game in town. Until USSF folds and a new organization takes charge (one which views success as being international dominance, not the cultivation of a U.S. only third tier league as being the end game) soccer will never advance in this country. The problem is USSF as an organization, not the person who it out front as its face.

Sadly I think you're right, at least with its present management.

With a state of the art building 50 yards from the soccer field In Kansas will work wonders for American soccer. All year round with LED lighting too. Who comes up with this?

add that to the fact that there is only a 33% pass rate, it is all about the $$$$$$

to take the A level senior, you are supposed to be coaching professionally, that's what the new A-Senior is targeted to. So if you are coaching professionally and also working another job, you are coaching the wrong professional team.

Lower level courses are also time and dollar intensive and out of the reach of many coaches without support from their clubs (which hardly happens).

You are ENTITLED to NOTHING. If you want to make money in the PROFESSION of coaching, you need to pay to go to the conferences and trainings just like any other PROFESSIONAL.

No I don't b#tch. The point of this post is to understand the huge problem in our country about educating coaches to produced elite players that go onto bigger and better opportunities. The debacle is now realized because of the national team missing out on the world cup. The business is flawed. When state youth soccer organizations, us soccer and fifa rig the business it is a problem. It doesn't help coaches, parents and especially players. Look it up jackass. Better yet...stick your head up of your arse. Pull it out, wipe it off and think.

The coach is ENTITLED to NOTHING. If it's just for fun, you are not needed and the volunteer daddy TARSA coach is just fine. If it's for business, than the investors get to decide and they decided that's what you're worth. If you don't like it, LEAVE.
