    The 'Good' Coaches in MA...

Here is a fun little holiday weekend thread for all the "experts" out there...

I see A LOT of coach bashing, CB, NB, JD, JB, FM, AP, PB, and a whole lot of other initials.

How about the good coaches? Rather than shaming, how about a little bit of praising?

    Aaaaaaaaaaand go...

Bashing CB is always a nice giveaway that someone has no ****ing idea what they're talking about, so I'll start there.

        Thanks CB.

You might want to hit the recruiting trail rather than monitoring this board. Just a thought.

You've evidently confused my praise for CB with a lesser CB. There's no "recruiting trail" involved here.

            Well, not the best start.

Makes me wonder why parents are willing to pay to be apart of these clubs. Perhaps the sane ones with perspective don't come on to Talking Soccer! Hmm...

That's because it is a subjective question. There is not an established coach out there (in any sport for that matter) who doesn't have parents and players who were wronged by them (at least in their minds).

Absolutely agreed. Hence the thought of creating a thread for those who have enjoyed their experiences...

Each club will have some great coaches. Some are great at developing young players others are great tactically with older teams.

                          My experiences has predominantly been on the North Shore. The coaches that our family had a fantastic development experience with were;

                          Sean Napier
                          Katherine Polido
                          Greg Scruton
                          Andy Mason
                          Karl Southwick

All player-centric coaches, who went above any beyond for their players.

We were a one-club family so don't have a great knowledge of other coaches, and I am sure this will get shut down as being biased, but these are my family's experiences.

If you had a positive experience then the coaching was right for you. No need to get shut down for that.

No names but Valeo Boys and NEFC Boys play a great style at the younger ages. Good to see some skill and not a bunch of robots kicking the ball.
