The best I have come up with so far is to share details of college soccer camps and encourage players to go along if they are interested.

I saw on another post a list of soccer college commitments - is there an official page for this information?

Go to Back of the Net, another soccer message board and read through the College Recruiting page. Or tell your player's to read it.

Given the level of play sending them go I'D events is probably their best bet. It's unlikely you could get them into decent showcases. If players go tell them to reach out to coaches ahead of time; send their key info (academic and soccer achievements) and a highlight video if they have one (keep it under 2 minutes ). Try to meet the coaches in person at the event and follow up afterwards. Forgot : they should spend some time studying rosters of schools. If everyone came from top clubs and leagues then players you are coaching are unlikely to generate interest.

Thank you. This is helpful and pretty much what I was expecting.

Showcase events are nothing but flesh markets that ultimately are both inefficient and expensive. Suffice to say that if your kid is good enough to actually be able to stand out enough at one to put being their to use, they don't really need them because the college coaches already know who they are.
