    Who's on first?

So in one thread the question is 'why can't Gps get into top leagues' and in another it's buying out Scorpions to get there and will reshuffle teams for the spring. Would the Ecnl charter allow for wholesale roster changes mid season? Can the Ecnl board stop this juggernaut from gaining entry and then does it give credibility to Gps IF they can put together teams as competitive as the downsized NEFC elite pool forced by the loss of Ecnl, combination of age groups and reasoning that players would rather not be in NPL as a recruiting platform. With Stars loss of the West and being spread thin over da/ecnl this is a tough development.

ECNL is a business first and GPS is flush with cash so your first question is moot. Second, just like DA, the first year or two of GPS having ECNL teams there may be teams that are strong and those that are weak... it's all about the age groups and pool of players available, but over time you should see teams get stronger as the pipeline fills out and more kids realize that DA is really only for the top 11 players and everyone else is there as practice opponents and in case of injury. GPS's reach is much wider than Stars or FC Boston, so it shouldn't take long.

As to NEFC and Stars, yeah, this is a tough development, but that's business. Grow or die... there is little middle ground.

GPS, LOL. And why FCB has been mediocre in ECNL even after having Breakers and now Bolts as partners? Same question goes to GPS in NPL. So many players pool and they are mediocre in NPL.
