Plastic playing surfaces in the Prem?

"In modern turf construction, long deep artificial grass blades are sewn throughout the pitch, which firms up the ground and prevents slipping."

So, English Premier League clubs use plastic or semi-plastic playing surfaces and not natural grass?

Where in the article does it say anything about EPL games being played on artificial surfaces?

I took tours of San Siri in Italy and Real Madrids grounds. They both use a hybrid turf that has artificial blades interspersed into the natural turf grass. I am pretty sure many other clubs are using the same technology.

Not me. I thought FIFA, and UEFA, required natural surfaces for men's soccer.

Then there's likely a lot you don't know. Look up the Russian league fields.
