        What's the over/under on a 10 goal differential?

The coach should blame the officials for the loss. Good strategy.

interesting that yet another CT player chose to bypass Ow (or even BS) for the Revs. Is it just because OW has lousy GK coaching?

Peay Calls 20 Players to Croatia for U-14 BNT Camp
            U-14 NDP May 31, 2017

CHICAGO (May 31, 2017) – U.S. Under-14 Boys’ National Team head coach Clint Peay has named a 20-player roster for the team’s second training camp and first international training camp of the year, taking place from May 31-June 10 in Zagreb, Croatia.

During the camp, the U-14 BNT will play friendlies against Croatian club Dinamo Zagreb, Bosnia, and will twice face Croatia.

Of the 20 players on the roster, 17 are returning from the most recent U-14 BNT camp in February. In addition, 18 currently play for U.S. Soccer Development Academy clubs. All 20 players were born in 2003.

            Roster by Position:
GOALKEEPERS (2): Eliot Jones (New England Revolution; New Britain, Conn.), Jacob Morris (Real Colorado; Parker, Colo.)
DEFENDERS (7): Fernando Alvarez (C.F. Pachuca; New York, N.Y.), Reece Frage (FC Dallas; Plano, Texas), Jacob Greene (DC United; Crofton, Md.), Isaac Homer (Portland Timbers; Portland, Ore.), Morris Matthews (New England Revolution; Cambridge, Mass.), Bogart Roca (Real So Cal; Sylmar, Calif.), Zachary Sardi-Santos (New England Revolution; Newton, Mass.)
MIDFIELDERS (6): Sebastian Burke (Chelsea FC; Raleigh, N.C.), Javier Casas (Chicago Fire; Addison, Ill.), Jeremy Garay (D.C. United; Woodbridge, Va.), Martin Killeen (LA Galaxy; Brea, Calif.), Sota Kitahara (Seattle Sounders FC; Edmonds Wash.), Jack McGlynn (BW Gottschee; Middle Village, N.Y.)
FORWARDS (5): Andres Cardenas (Weston FC; Doral, Fla.), Tyler Freeman (Sporting Kansas City; Shawnee, Kan.), Brian Gutierrez (Chicago Fire; Burbank, Ill.), Alex Monis (FC United; Naperville, Ill.), Dante Sealy (FC Dallas; Frisco, Texas)

Wouldn't you go to a professional club if you could? Not like we're talkin' apples to apples.

That goalkeeper was an FSA player from ULittle up untill last year, a move to Oakwood or Beachside was not necessary as it was viewed as lateral move compared to the top teams at FSA. The true "step up" was to get involved with an MLS/Academy Club since that is where the league is truly headed, hence the move to the Revs. Had nothing to do with Keeper coaching at Oakwood.

Everton FC Westchester 16s made it. The team has a good nucleus of CT players on it.

Not the OP but do you have trouble processing information or thinking clearly? The league is clearly "headed" towards a youth academy system where the top clubs will be those of MLS teams. Not that hard to figure out Einstein.

So does the Revs U18 team, which is the highest seed in a very winnable group.

That doesn't bode well for New England kids, as the Revs aren't exactly a model academy (see the Mass forum for the sordid details).

Many MLS clubs are putting some serious money into their programs. It will become harder and harder for the non MLS clubs to compete on the field and for players. There's already plenty of rumblings abut a split (although there's obvious geographic and logistical issues).
OW and BS (and some NY clubs) are in a tough spot since there are 2 NY pro teams and 1 MA team that some families opt to drive to; and now Barca is trying to start up something in NY as well. Not only is it free, but most times the training is far better and for certain there's a cache of playing on an MLS team. When top players are fighting with well trained international players for top college roster spots that can matter.

Yet a newly named U14 NT player from New Brittain opted to go to the Revs rather than the two CT clubs. Plenty of other players have as well. Revs suck in the MLS DA world but it's free and it's MLS. That still carries weight. Lots of other CT players head West to Red Bulls and NYCFC as well.
