Looking for elite summer training for u16

    #2
Elite summer training? Have your kid go to the park with their ball and take a million shots and dribble the ball everywhere they go. There's elite training.

Don't waste your money. And don't even consider Super Y, that is caca!!

Practice, pickup games with friends, dribble dribble dribble. Go online and get some speed and agility drills. Keep up fitness with running, sprints, moderate weight training.

Play futsal or indoor. Work on speed, strength and agility training. Pick up games with friends. There is so much that can be done over the summer, without adding a bunch of useless camps.

Yep, my kid just does one week long day camp through his DAP club, more to have a chance to socialize with his buddies over the summer than for the soccer. The rest of the summer, he's online every morning looking up some cool new footwork, juggling, or shooting drills and spends the rest of the day in the yard setting up cones/rebounder/goal, etc. and practicing the drills and moves.

That, along with very competitive 1v1 games with his older brother, 2v2 games (adding in mom & dad) on the weekends, and a weekly evening pick-up game makes for a pretty inexpensive soccer training regimen over the summer. His coaches are always impressed with the progress he's made when he returns to practice in the fall. Tons of time on the ball in unstructured and fun play is definitely the way to go.

Since your kid has no friends, go to the racquetball courts and use the 3 walls.
