World Cup enters in a strategic relationship with NEFC

What's in it for NEFC? Not the use of quality fields. Doesn't seem to be many teams or talent left. Most of the coaches are gone. If they waited another year they probably would have had what's left of the players.

NEFC gets to on paper expand their operations in NH. Which means increased revenue. They get to get rid of the people running it an replace them with someone else. For any high quality NWC players it could mean an opportunity to travel down to MA to play in higher leagues, NPL, Girls DA, etc.
NWC also gets entry into NEP.

What will be interesting is how the NWC coaches private ventures in Soccer align with NEFC.

Will NEFC let them continue to sell their wares to NWC kids or will they want them to promote NEFC activities. That will be interesting as many NWC coaches have their outside club gigs that get populated by kids they coach in club.

NEFC having a hard time breaking into NH, but it's only their first year. Rosters are thin, and some kids are playing up 2 age groups. Not safe. Playing in low-level leagues. So, this is what is assumed to be the first step in buying out NWC completely. NWC is a shell of their former selves anyway.

NEFC can get access to NWC players to help grow their base. NWC players get access to the NEFC umbrella.

I was under the impression they would be based out of Tyngesboro.

As bad as NWC is, they are clearly the best choice for an outside club to come in and partner with if they hope to grow quickly. It really shows how big of a drop off there is after Seacoast and GPS here.

This is true. Stars hasn't made the inroads, and NEFC hasn't either (but again, real early). NWC is a shell of what they used to be, but to your point, probably the best established organization that isn't already tied to a Big Club to go after.

It's also why I know many quality players from the state who travel distances for other opportunities. FC Boston, Stars out of Central, GPS-MA, etc.

Are any of those options along route 95 in northern Ma?

Yes, NEFC - World Cup NEP teams will be practicing and playing at a new turf complex in Tyngsboro starting in the fall. I assume many that left WC in the recent past will come back. As a NWC parent, I'm glad its NEFC and not GPS!

After the failed alliance with NWC and FC Stars a couple of years ago, I wonder how this will play out differently. Back then I think NWC thought they were still relevant, and backed out after a year, maybe now this is their only option/move left?

As a previous poster mentioned, with NWC having so many coaches with individual/personal agendas on the side, will this help them or hurt them?

                      Watch this space I guess....

Personal agenda's and people who have been the common denominator in every failed venture that they've been involved in have left NWC with one foot in the grave and one foot on a banana peel. This is basically a last ditch effort to save the ship. I hope it works out.

We looked at NEFC NH for my daughter, 2003. It was pretty pricey, over 2k, and not really worth it for the coaching she would have gotten in my opinion. Wonder what this will do to NWC prices.

So isn't there going to be NWC teams and NEFC-NWC teams, that should go over well....

Yes, NWC teams play in the NHSL while the NEFC-WC teams play in the NEP.
