    Conditioning ideas for summer break

    My son tends to lose a little fitness in between seasons.

    I was thinking of summer speed training with the following

    10 sprints
    100 yards
    90 yards
    80 yards
    Regress 10 yards each sprint until u are done with 1 minute breaks between ESC one. Should I add a parachute to build strength

    20 mins of ladder work

    10 minutes of bleachers

    10 minute cool down

    5 times a week

    Will this be effective

    If it matters son turns four in july

    I would add a 1/4 marathon, goind to 1/2 as soon as he turns five. Then may he can maybe have a chance to play DA.

      I was not sure that long distance equated well to soccer that is why I was trying to work on short burst.

      Do you think long distance training would help? It would help him from chubbing up

        Absolutely. Cross country, meaning the U.S, east to west. You will also want to throw a big medicine ball at his head so he can practice flicks, shots, and passes in all directions, to build next strength and prevent future concussions. He'll go straight to men's national team. No DA needed.

          he is drinking 96 grams of protein shakes a day (4 shakes). Making sure he puts on lean muscle

          he can already bench press 55 pounds

                      This is your agent, I can't make it at the time you have requested, because I am meeting a phenom girl player instead at that time who sounds much more promising. But I can still meet with you, say, 1:00 pm? I want to give her all the time she wants.

                        I am meeting with the same girl. Or at least we think she will be a girl. Delivery date is not until June. If they are not sign and committed before birth, forget about their soccer future.

                        I'm meeting with another couple on Monday. We are timing the date of conception to ensure the best birth year for the age group.

                            Met with the agent. Paid a small up front fee and he said I should have several private tryouts which cost about $100 per over the next several months. It might take dozens of tryouts to find the right fit!
