Got Soccer Rankings Still Screwed Up

    Got Soccer Rankings Still Screwed Up

    I get that everyone publicly hates on Got Soccer but I know a lot of people secretly look at the rankings, and as far as tournaments go, it still has some value in setting brackets.

    Why then, this long after the age change, are the bracket's still screwed up? My kid's U16 team show's the roster and the record of last year's U14 team. To find her team's ranking (01) I have to look at the 02 entry (the U17 team). It seems to me this screws up the placement and assigning of tournament points as well as points fopr wins over higher ranked teams.

    I know no one cares and you can all hate on me all you like, but It just really annoys the hell out of my OCD mind.

    It's largely up to clubs to tell GS about errors, but getting GS to fix errors is a nightmare.

    And yes you're obsessing. Stop.

      Consider the implications of math -

      It's obvious the GotSoccer has errors - lots of them.

      Even allowing for the general apathy of most soccer admins towards GotSoccer, there must be coaches/managers out there that care that there are errors in their teams' records and have contacted GotSoccer to fix them.

      Yet the errors don't get fixed.

      Which must mean there are so many errors being reported that GotSoccer has chosen to ignore most/all rather than incur the expense to make it right.

      Use GotSoccer like a 6month weather forecast, a novelty but not accurate by any measurement that matters.

        All team rosters/updates on GS are up to the club admin and/or team manager to handle. If the team assignment and roster is incorrect it's because your club/coach/team manager has not updated it.

          Forget GS rankings. Check out Youth Soccer Ranking. It is a better predictor of game outcome.

            Interesting but a little overly broad. Seems like the lowest you can drill down to is Region One. No In state rankings.

                Not true at all. You can get to state rankings. Under the show tab you can select National, Region, state. If you are not seeing that, it may be a browser issue.

                            What is AC Milan's GotSoccer value? How about Monaco's? Portland Thorns?

                              do you have any clue how they seed youth soccer tourneys? Jeff cup, PDA, disney, newws etc...
                              thats right Einstein, they useGS to accept any fill the brackets- or do you think they have personal knowledge of 400 teams from around the country
