    Alcohol, coaching, & the fallout

How do you deal with a youth soccer coach that enjoys a couple of cocktails before coaching your kids?

    No place for it whatsoever.

If your kids team is good, you shut your pie hole. If they suck, you join him !

If he is American get him some help, if he is British get him a bigger bottle .

What is the solution? Warning, multiple warnings, or immediate termination?

What's the deal with these provocative and yet utterly cowardly threads every day?

              You must be British.

Deal with? Seriously? That is a deal breaker 100% of the time. Take your kid and run.

I don't think there would be any coaches left if you stopped the drinks. It might be the end of club soccer.

Is that why there are so many red solo cups on the sidelines at my kids club games?

No place for it, ever. Club needs to know as it is a serious issue not only in terms of parent optics but liability as well. If your club doesn't take it seriously then run away quickly. How a club handles troubled coaches (drinkers, screamers, aleeping with soccer moms etc) speaks volumes

So I'm hungover and exhausted after servicing the team moms all night and now I have to deal with this b.s. before I go out and scream at your kids. Someone get me a Bloody Mary and make it quick.

A good team manager would have already had this ready for you right when you woke up.

This question really wasn't asked to draw out the humor from the TS crowd. Although I definitely enjoy some of the humorous posts that I read on her daily. I am looking for some guidance or suggestions from anyone that may have gotten stuck dealing with this issue in the past.
