    Which league is better

Just wondering which league is better, FSPL or FLNPL? And if you are going to opine, please provide an explanation. Simply saying FSPL or FLNPL sucks without expanding on the reason is useless information. And if you are of the opinion that both suck, which sucks less and why?

Thank you in advance for thoughtful and helpful responses.

    Fspl

FSPL is better because all the teams get automatically seeded into the second round of State Cup

They are both high quality. But for me, I am partial to FSPL, because you have to qualify every year.

FSPL is better than FLNPL, because the latter is a league for teams that are new or haven't the history to be placed in FSPL or NPL. It's a minor league, where the actual number of teams is low. Good place to start, and I suppose better than SFUYSA, but still not FSPL caliber. IMO

Historically you will get more Gotsoccer points playing in FPL. It's a crime because high ranking teams will often enter and use it for their bench players or b team players yet bring a lot of points that the other, far weaker teams can then earn by beating the scrubs getting playing time on otherwise high ranking teams.

FLNPL is Florida NPL - you are referencing FPL - which is the league for teams that don't have their club entered into Florida NPL. FPL and Florida NPL (both US Club leagues) have NOTHING to do with FSPL (an FYSA league).

FSPL is a league which gets its teams from the Florida State Cup - supposed to be teams that made it to the final 16...but they have been none to dig deeper.

The Florida NPL is a club based league. They are now recommending that, if a club knows one of their teams is not up to the level they should be for the FLNPL, that they place them in FPL.

it depends on the age group from year to year. If the best 16 teams don't all decide to play FSPL, some play R3PL or only NPL then you have teams playing FSPL who have no business. Just look at the standings, some teams in every age group have zero wins. NPL in the same regard can be very competitive, however since it is a club based league you are hoping every club in it has a competitive team at every age group. Throw in the fact that some clubs are now sending their B teams to NPL because the A team is playing FSPL, it waters it down just like having non round of 16 finishers play FSPL. Over the past two years the edge for overall quality based on all age groups would say FSPL has the edge, but some age groups the FLNPL league are quite strong.

Neither is DA so both are by definition worse.

Maybe the top 2 team teams. The EPL is a better overall product.

FSPL was at its peak when teams from SRPL played in FSPL as well. Once they started playing 15 games, they lost the big players and competition level they once had. Now they need to dig further down to fill the spots. Still a purer competition given the criteria outlined to get in is based on the team's performance, but the comparison to FNPL is going to depend on the strength and number of clubs putting A teams into FNPL.

At this point, it depends on the age group, but the pendulum is moving toward FNPL whereas 2 years ago it was rapidly moving in the other direction. FNPL picking up clubs that have historically done well at the state level is going to move the needle.

There was a time where FSPL considered moving toward a club based format inside a second division in order to combat the FNPL club philosophy. They also considered reducing the team count to 12 per division in order to keep the SRPL teams, which would have likely bought them time to figure out how to get the big clubs on board with the system.
