    Strong programs for development? U10

Best club(s) to check out for development? Central CT. U10 girls. Better start planning for next year. All I hear of is complaints. FSA OW... Not really strong on the ulittle development. Want it to be fun but want to get our $$$ worth too.

    Town travel up to U12.

Start looking at pop-up premier outfits, like CFC North, Celtic, and longer-term mid-level premier, like CFC Wolves, Northeast United, South Central Premier, Academica.

FSA has development at younger ages in the case of my kids more so than at early teen ages. Guess the X factor is the coach though so there are no guarantees. My U10 is a totally different player than they were in August. We've had horrid experiences with pop up premier ... no development and a waste of some good developmental years.

Most of the clubs the other poster aren't pop up but have been around for some time now. Many do a decent job with development at the younger ages without costing a fortune.

to the op - if your town travel is solid then one option is to look into a supplemental program or camps run by a bigger club. That way you can check out the club for the future without committing to a big bill. If your town isn't good check a few surrounding towns - many towns can take up to two outside players. Also little ones shouldn't do a lot of travel so don't go too far from home. You never know where this will go, so don't go too crazy; find a good coach (ask for real life experiences in your area) and see how it plays out for at least another year.

I think he had them as mid level premier which is appropriate. They do a nice job with u littles. Dead end on their older teams.

Yes many of those clubs have been around and are fine for younger players. Then the OP can see if the player has talent and commitment and move to something bigger/farther away as they get U12 or so.

We're at OW and love it. Very happy. But I'd suggest contacting the different clubs. There's still time to attend some indoor trainings and possibly some outdoor trainings with the club to get a feel and see which one your daughter is most comfortable with. You should get a somewhat decent indicator of how trainings are conducted and keep an eye on the team for how talented they are. Talk to the coach and the DOC too. Never too early to get their opinions on how they see their development. Good luck.

Best thing to do is go to FSA on the weekends and watch the various U10 indoor games. There are several clubs resented there. Check out the teams and more importantly how the coaches interact with the kids. You will learn a lot and will have the opportunity to talk with coaches directly that interest you.

Our coach is a dbag and doesn't interact very well socially with kids or adults but I can't deny the immense amount of stuff the kids have learned since August and how they're a shadow of their former selves. So dbag or not, I'm thankful for what they've done and wouldn't changed the path we went down for the world. It's a more complicated equation than simply viewing one indoor game.

Yeah he is pretty nuts. You should see him at an older kids game; 100x worse.

                            DM?

also, I thought SS was going to Sporting? I see him listed as the assistant.

Nope. It's MD going to OW to lead their GDA effort.
