RD Seems like a god coach taking over a strong program with a need to fill 9 senior positions. No doubt UVM is a top Northeast soccer program, but how will they recover from such a large group of grads?
I love UVM, but not sure about the "top Northeast program." They made the tournament the last 2 years, but not before that, and certainly a lot of the recent relative success was riding on the star striker. I think they'll need to step up the recruiting, and a rejuvinated UNH will win that battle unless UVM steps it up. The guys love the coach, and UVM has so much to offer off the field, so the future looks bright (although nest year could be a rebuild as you suggest).

I agree with your assessment about recent success was due to Brian Wright and others. The other seniors also played a key roles. Losing 11 seniors will leave quite a void. Probably why Cormier jumped ship?
Additionally UVM is very expensive for out of state students aT ~ $52k. so unless players are getting a full ride, it's tough to cover that expense. For comparison: UCONN is ~ $32k. UMASS is $37k. UNH is $46k. When did UNH get so expensive
As far as top northeast program UCONN, Providence or BC have been more consistent over last 10 years.

Not "the" top program, the OP said "a" top program
OK, let's play it this way. In no order here are the top DI programs...
BC
UCONN
UNH
UVM
Providence
Your kid gets in to each one academically and can also play for any of them. Which would you like to see your kid play at? I know, it is their choice. Just asking!

UNH ... a clear last place
When ever I hear about a coach leaving I always worry about the kids who are recruited and whether or not the new coach will keep the old coach's commitments. But if they've got a big exodus the new one might not have a choice until he gets his fee ton the ground to sort it all out
I assume the suggested list is over the years- if it's just last year, then UMA Lowell is first, right? Dartmouth should maybe be on the list too.
On the question, all things considered, I'd take UVM.
It's academic and athletic over the years. UML wouldn't be on the list.
UVM hasn't been a consistent winner. Agree that other schools should place above UNH.
BC and UCONN have been consistent winners. UCONN has been mediocre last three years but UCONN has won national championships. Maybe PC slips by UCONN last several years. Both BC and UCONN are strong academic schools with BC having an advantage
Dartmouth and Harvard should be on the list if we are considering Ivy League Schools

New coach recruited the players. He's was assistant under prior head coach
