    I agree with you except that I believe the drive to excel is still very high in the general world of US soccer. We just need the right leader to channel it and cause it to thrive. The current DAP system does just the opposite.

        You must be an ADF parent? US have never had an identity for soccer and never will. You are clueless on the game. But, not to worry, your coach has spoke to your little soldier about becoming a pro soccer player. You took the bait.

          And they have replaced him with Bruce Arena, who was terrible the first time he coached the team. They might as well have kept Jurgen.

            I'm not a huge fan, probably could have gotten someone better but he is far from terrible. US had there best ever WC showing in 2002 with Bruce, they went to the Quarters and narrowly lost to Germany 1-0. Very easily could have won that game if not for the amazing goal keeping of Oliver Kahn, eventual winner of the Golden Ball.

            Bruce would have never sat Nagbe and Pulisic to start Beckerman, Zusi and Wondo against Argentina this summer.
