Girls Soccer Clubs in the Boston Metro Area

We are relocating from Arizona to the Boston area at the end of the school year (May/2017). My daughter currently plays club soccer (U11- 2006 birth year) and is very passionate about the sport. Her team is also part of the NPL in Arizona, which she participates in. My daughter has been playing soccer since she was 4 and this is her third year of club soccer. It's important to us and to her that we find a good quality club with quality coaching and continued player development. Does anyone have any recommendations for girls soccer clubs would be best for us in the area?

Depends where you are living. Boston area traffic is brutal at rush hours. You have a few solid options.

My starting points would be NEFC, Stars, South Shore Select & F.C.Boston. All four have solid girls programs. It will all depend upon where you are N, S or W of the City.

Actually if you really want some solid advice, move to a town like Needham that has a pretty good town soccer program and save your money for tutors and a really good prep school. Your kid will end up with enough soccer to fulfill their passion and will also end up with a top flight education that will open the doors to many colleges. Wins all the way around. Club soccer is just a sucker bet unless your kid is one of the rare ones destined the national level.

Plus he simply assumes OP can afford Needham prices.

Ha ha, yeah, and prep school tuition on top of that!

Or skip the prep school part and attend the public schools. Needham has good students and teachers, and for soccer they play in the best league.

Might want to get to know the coach first, however.

Everyone's in such a hurry to bash the school choices that they completely glossed over the soccer part of the equation. So what's the alternative solution. Pay a boat load to Join a club like NEFC or the Stars and still either pay inflated prices to live in a town Needham or go the other way to a cheaper town (usually with much worse public schools) and then have to pay for that prep school because of it?
