The game is tilted to the club. Pay get your release then try out other clubs. Practicing with other clubs prior to release wothout the consent of your club could set the new club up for "poaching"

Good luck! Tough decision to make, but it must be serious enough to do it now and not in the summer.

You've got the gauge the situation. Is it that bad you cannot ride out the season? Is it a play time issue that your son could overcome with extra work or is it a coaching problem where's he is not developing? Always though make sure you have destinations in mode, the worst thing you can do is spend a month or so in between clubs not doing anything. If your child is high school age his would be a good time to transition. Once you know where you are gonna go, and it make seem like a hassle but really research this team because this is a big decision, obtain your release. Depending on the club it can be difficult, you may have to sight dramatic reasons to get out of a contract so be prepared for that. Make sure the team you are joking is steady, has the place for your kid and a strong coach because for a kid mentally, not succeeding in two teams in one season can be career ending. If there are no good clubs available after a release or something derails, if your kid is 10-15 than putting him in a private training environment for the duration of the season is a great idea. For 16-18 it's just important to play as much as possible in front of coaches. Good luck with this, I did this once with my son when I realized his coach wasn't improving him and the style of play was too detrimental. Thankfully for me it ended well and he succeeded with the team and succeeded as a club. Try and exhaust every connection when finding a team for him.

Thank you for all answers. Yes basically coaching/team is way bellow what we were used to. my son is loosing the interest . where as before he has very proud and serious about the game he now sometimes does not even care about going to play.... I am very "lazy" to make the move since it probably means money and time drag but I feel I can not just ignore a clear problem.

Your son isn't losing interest. You're just not used to losing a game or two and are now overreacting.

To the OP - ignore him. What about the other coaches at the club? Is it just this one? Could you move teams within the club? It's not ideal to move around often but if your kid is quickly losing interest and you're dissatisfied with the coaching you owe it to yourself to at least look. As another said it depends if you're looking to move within the league vs out. You are going to have to pay up or the club can rightly refuse to release him. Make sure to do your homework by having him go to a few practices and even games at each club you're considering. Do lots of homework - if you go watch games or when he's practicing talk to parents at the clubs to get their perspective. Ask around in your area about clubs where others play.

Maybe your son is losing interest because he is getting older and has new priorities in life and soccer is no longer at the top.
There should be some kind of buyout fee in your original contract that you can pay off if you want a release. If it is not mentioned then maybe there is no penalty for leaving (rare but probably still happens here and there). Of course finding a new team in the middle of a season with room for another player is going to be tough. Either it will be a case where someone was injured or moved. Otherwise you will end up on a team that didn't have enough after tryouts.

You should walk up to the head coach, spit in his face and question his manhood. And use as many hand gestures as possible when insulting him so everyone on the field can tell something good is going on!!!

There is a cut off date for players joining cubs to be eligible to participate in St. Cup games. I believe the date is December 1st. The rule was put in place to prevent "club hopping" and "stacking" teams for St Cup. Can someone share a link ??
