            give the guy a break - it was posted in another long thread.

            Folks on the CT board were arguing if FSA would get it or not (they didn't. good thing). Not surprised OW got it if the ECNL clubs in CT don't want it.

            So please tell me how this is going to be different than ECNL? Many of the same clubs, same geography, still pay to play....

                Don't you have to be able to actually develop players to be in a DAP?

                  Lot of mediocre clubs accepted and already watering down GDAP.

                    Here's a senario;
                    Clubs like Oakwood CT combine to birth years to make three strong GDA teams:
                    Clubs like Stars MA canibalise their ECNL to make their GDA teams and infills ECNL with weaker NPL players.

                    ECNL relegated overnite.... Assuming HS soccer takes a hit. Anyone's guess as to what will really happen.

                      Girls are smarter than boys. They'll choose high school over GDAP for several reasons.

                        They will choose what they choose and play on. There seems to be no shortage of players for all of these lux leagues.

                          I think this last very weak list shows that ECNL will not take the hit USSF was hoping for. I think In some areas like CA and FL where the travel isn't bad and there's some solid clubs, GDA will be tops. In others, possibly around here, ECNL and DA will be battling over players. No clear winners, just more watering down of talent and resources

                            Seems players committed to D1 would want to go DA to prep for college. Also many publics are weak and privates get waivers. Seems that girls will generally look to DA because that will be most logical. Domino effect and then they are all there before you know it.

                              Not all players looking for college spots are gunning for top D1. Plenty of good opportunities to play and be seen in ECNL for lower level D1, D2 and coveted D3 roster spots. Even some top players won't be willing to give up HS, knowing that coaches will still be interested if they have what coaches want. GDA may end up on top but it won't be a clear cut winner.
