But according to the ECNL pundits, it's full of former ECNL players as ECNL is the pipeline to the WNT and ECNL is the best. So how can it be the worst WNT ever? The former teams weren't full of ECNL players apparently.

The WNT has been political for years. They kept the same old dinosaurs not identifying and developing new talent. This is what happens.

The oldies but not so goodies that caused the failure are too old to have ever played in the ECNL. Solo's lame attempt to ice the kicker in PK's was amateur at best, more like bush league. If you have to resort to those types of tactics, like scoring after injuring a player on the other team, relying on a blind AR to call an offside that clearly wasn't, or delaying the final PK for no good reason, you deserve to lose.

              ladies Soccer

Maybe now we might get some constructive comments on here.
The women's soccer scene sucks has done for awhile you saw how the ex USA coach put a team together that beat her old team.
Been sitting on our laurels for too long.
So here we are now with both the USMNT and the USMNT being second best. Time to change time to kick this pay to play to the curb and scout out good players from all levels and pay structures and make sure the best players boy and girl come to the front.
I don't see it happening as too many have their fingers in the financial gain pie.

You can kick it to curb right now. Just stop paying.

Outdated methodology. I've been telling you people that our USWNT does well purely on athletes my all the while other countries are actually teaching the game correctly. Our leagues like ECNL and USYS National Leagurs are failing our players and it's the parents driving the whole thing.

Need to change the "Random Question" on TS. Maybe something like "USWNT were bush league at the Olympics"

Easy to blame the parents but they're not steering this ship. That's US Soccer. They just need to mandate that soccer is free for all an so it shall be, right?

Better to have lost in PKs to Sweden (who had the winning goal unjustly stolen away by blind ref) than lose 0-5 to Brazil.

Just waiting for the ECNL'rs to chime in that ECNL is the savior to all things soccer.

Our strategy, when I watched them, was to play the ball around in the back and look for an opportunity to slam it over the top and cross their fingers that the US player wins the ball, breaks down a defender and send a cross.

Wonder if this changes Mallory Pugh's decision to skip the fall season at UCLA?
