I just found this fourm while surfing the web. I was surprised how parents trash talked to each other on this forum, which defeat the whole purpose of instilling sportsmanship to our kids. I guess it is our natural behavior when anyone can post anything without registering using a username. Curious why the forum moderators do not require people to register before posting. Most of the forums require that. My 2 cents

your comment is not correct. I have been on other boards which is limited to oregonians and have nothing to do with soccer. The trash talking occurs even with registered names. The toxicity of this board has nothing to so with anon. posters or with the subject matter. It is how oregonians are.Comment

Occasionally I'll peek at a few other state boards to get info on big picture topics like the ECNL/DA debates. The conversations are much the same, just change the club names. Oregon is not better or worse. I agree being anonymous gives people license to be idiots, but those people are idiots in real life anyway. I have been actively participating several hunting and fishing forums. Yes, it means hanging out with folks who you may call rednecks. But the conversation there is so civil and focus is mainly on how to improve our skills and to share success story. But this site is something else.
