It's a fair question. My bet is relegated to 2nd tier for about 1 year them fold. But I guess it could fold immediately upon GDA rollout. Hard to say which.

What is the end game here and why would someone flush all that money down the toilet. If the Thorns wanted to act like they were relevant you would think they would play in relevant events

If these parents and clubs had one clue they would of formed just one team per age group at JUST ONE CLUB and at least have an idea how they stacked up vs the competition. Instead they doubled down, on a crap deal. and now are deep in debt with nothing to show. They never got out of the toilet.

Think about this idea. The thorns program only exists because people are willing to send their kids too it. They have no track record of girl youth development and it was no way near a good idea the previous years. They rely on outside coaches and hire them on like a contractor. The coaches hired didnt have a great track record of attendance or impact in previous years.
Because now thorns get into a newly created league run by the same people who are failing mens soccer. They require only coaches that have their so called licenses that have questionable merrit an are held by many not good coaches.
They now expect people now should give them alot of money and put alot of trust into them.
You want to say you play for the "thorns" academy then join up.

In Oregon, Thorns can't offer anything except a patch that means nothing as evidenced by results from the Beaverton Cup this weekend.
