    Apologies

    Dear Thorns academy parents,

You've been taking a lot of heat for what at least one poster on here called your sandbagging entry into the Beaverton cup. But apologies are in order. The 1-1 tie the older Thorns team just got against the Westside 99's demonstrates your teams are appropriate for Beaverton. Good luck with the rest of your weekend and we won't doubt your coach's judgment again.

    Sincerely,

    Talking-Soccer

Ugh. Didn't WST 99's finish like fourth in State Cup? Not exactly world class competition let alone very good even in Oregon. Rough.

Not by any means the same team. The girls have all been split up into their appropriate age group. Still a good team. GO WESTSIDE!!

At least they are coached by people wearing a Timbers patch so they are professionals... Clearly.

Sorry your kid sucks and couldn't even make the Thorns roster as a bench warmer. Get used to beat downs by coaches wearing Timbers patches!

Showing their meta at the Beaverton Cup?!

You can mix a few new players in either team. But my daughter has friends on that WST team and played against and beat their team. They are not all that. It looks as though neither are the Thorns at this age.

Thorns academy older team finishes as runner up's, losing to the 99 Copa team. Any questions?
