JK said it best as long as the USA has a pay for play system it will fail. Until major changes are made on how $$$ can be made from development the US system will be subpar.
Because it is always about the $$$$$$

Is it really that many girls that would be killing soccer. I don't think so.
94 clubs have U12 (two teams = 26 players), U13 and U14 teams.
Total players per club = Approx. 70
Total younger DA players in US = 6580
74 clubs have U15/16 and U17/18 teams.
Total players per club = Approx. 40
Total older DA players in US = 2960
Total DA players = 9540

DA Academy
They are giving it to overall unsuccessful clubs. The college coaches know which clubs are producing quality players regardless of the coach's license status. Until the politics of this sport changes nothing will get better. Look at ODP. They have players on there that played high school JV soccer on so-so teams picked because their coach is an ODP Coach. Very sad....

It wouldn't surprise me to see teams with roster sizes of 30. Some will be around 20 but those teams will be the exception, not the rule.
