Boys HS soccer in Vancouver just improved

People have been begging for Skyview's Boys coach to get the axe for many years. It finally happened.

Really? She was voted coach of the year just a couple years ago when they won state.

Wasn't the coaches fault that team was no good. Sometimes it's just lack of talent.

Lack of talent yes, but she really should not be the head coach. If all the players and parents are complaining about her year after year. Then it becomes a coaching issue.

              What were the complaints?

This is like a tree falling in the woods.

The only ones complaining were the parents of the pine riders.

The complaints I heard of had to do with her lack of advanced knowledge of the game and very poor coaching skills. All true but all can be written off as whining.
If she was fired it had to be for something more concrete. Otherwise Im sure the teachers union would be there with their lawyers.

Pine riders and field mice, both.

I haven't heard of her being fired. My DDs have had her as a teacher and loved her. Maybe she just decided to quit coaching the varsity boys team? She's been coaching the team since 2009 and been teaching there since 2006.

Which would be a lot of players. Didn't she carry like 26 kids last year. Picked up some football players with no skill whatsoever, as a favor to the football coach. And then was surprised when her players were getting injured in practices.
Losing to Heritage in the first round of playoffs probably did not help her case.

True. Nobody should ever lose to Heritage in any sport.

She coached a 4A state championship for Skyview in 2012, without the schools 2 best players, who went to the Sounders Academy program, was a good teacher and nice person. Good luck to her and her family.
