    Club and Coach Ratings

This discussion board is such a great resource. We all want the best information we can find about soccer clubs and coaches. As parents ourselves (with two in AZ clubs), we have created a brand new website to help you (systematically) rate your clubs and coaches. Please visit us at www.brilliantclubs.com. We are based in AZ but serve the U.S. Please let us know if we have missed any info or if you have comments or suggestions about our rating approach. (You can contact us through our website.)

Thanks for your support, and rate those clubs and coaches!

You're search functionality sucks. You should be able to put in a state, and have a list of clubs appear. By asking for at least one of Club Name, City Name, Zip Code with no smart search capabilities, you have created a poor user experience.

For example : If I'm searching for Global Premier Soccer in Massachusetts, do I look for GPS, MPS, Global Premier, Massachusetts Premier, FC Bayern, etc? .... Also, if I am looking for one of the regional affiliates to rate, do I put Waltham, or the regional locations ....

      Thanks for your feedback

We appreciate your comments. Please understand that we are two parents trying to create a resource for other parents. It's brand new--please be patient. We'll get on this, though!

Wait--I can solve that for you: GPS, Global Premier Soccer, Global Premier, whatever you want to call them ALL SUCK, have no soul, and just want your money. See? Easy.

How long before clubs are paying the site for good reviews?

C'mon folks, I am seeing a disturbing trend. It's taking longer and longer to slam GPS in threads. This time, over an hour.

TS is starting to disappoint me. I expected much more childish behavior.

                  Here's a site in MA
                  http://www.massclubsoccer.com
possibly you can take them as an example of something not particularly user friendly. Also seems at least one club has a disproportionately large bio.

Consider yourself fortunate. You could have ended up with Fred!

Thanks for your feedback. We have added many more clubs from MA and improved the search process so you can also search by city/zip. We really appreciate your help!

You still don't have any of the big MA clubs. Unless you have a local resource in each state, your data is going to be useless. Screenscraping club names from websites is not going to provide value for families in particular states. I'd recommend focusing on your local area (where presumably you have some level of knowledge of the clubs) in order to build out the model, before you try to get the entire country into one website.

Can you post a few of the clubs we're missing? I will look into what happened. Would appreciate it!
