    HS Rec Soccer in spring/summer

Have a high-schooler who is unable to play rec soccer in the fall due to other commitments (marching band). He's not sufficiently skilled for classic (nor can do that in the fall either due to the same time conflicts), and isn't interested in HS soccer either. But would like to play organized soccer somewhere, just for fun, in the times of the year when he's not spending every Saturday with a saxophone strapped around his neck.

Local rec club only offers H/S rec in the fall, however.

Any options--other rec clubs (west side of town) that have HS spring?

Most indoor facilities have indoor soccer and/or futsal leagues. Teams may post a notice with the league when they need to pick up a player. Might be worth a phone call to the local facilities in your area to see if any teams are looking to round out a roster. Rose City and Tualatin Indoor are two popular spots.

Google 3 vs. 3 Soccer and see if there is anything local

This is a perfect example of what the OPL was for. The average Rec player

And now it's called OYSA and you get to travel to Medford for the matches.

Go with this suggestion and ignore the idiots that always go off track from the topic.

Indoor always has different levels. If you're on the west side call Tualatin Indoor and explain. They'll do a good job of matching your son up on a team.

Futsal is a lot of fun. Played indoors with what feels like a heavier deflated all. Not as easy as it might seem. A great work out and worth trying out at least once. Great for build up the calf muscles too!

Have fun and again, ignore the idiot posters.
