It's about time but this will make soccer in this region very strong. Tryouts are going to be very interesting.

It says Boston Breakers are in. Currently NEFC has a partnership with Breakers.

ECNL Announces New Member Clubs for 2016-17 Season



RICHMOND, VA (April 8, 2016) – The Elite Clubs National League is proud to announce the addition of five new member clubs beginning in the 2016-2017 season:
•Boston Breakers Academy (MA)
•Seattle Reign Academy (WA)
•Tampa Bay United (FL)
•Western New York Flash Academy (NY)
•Weston FC (FL)

“We are incredibly excited to announce multiple-year commitments from each of the new clubs joining the ECNL this fall, and know that each one will be great members and supporters of the league,” said ECNL President Christian Lavers. “Weston and Tampa Bay United will be great additions to the Southeast Conference, and there will be incredible synergies created through the collaboration between the ECNL and the NWSL clubs. Together we will all be able to grow and promote women’s club soccer across the country at every level, and continue to be on the leading edge of development in the United States.”



In the 2016-2017 season, each ECNL club will compete in five age groups (U14, U15, U16, U17, and U18/19) in regular season conference competition and ECNL National Events. In addition to the competition platform, the ECNL will continue to offer player identification and development opportunities for top players in every conference, coaching development seminars for coaches in every club, and player health and education resources.

I find it very interesting that ECNL is adding MORE clubs, a few of which GDA would be interested in. ECNL is certainly not going down without a fight - first boys ECNL and now this.

ECNL knows youth soccer better than USSF does. DAP has gotten the USMNT nowhere.

Yes, but the Boston Breaker Academy is NEFC elite teams. So, it defaults to them. TD is all over announcement and he is the current NEFC club-wide DoC. Tryouts will be interesting indeed.

It defaults to them until Breakers says it doesn't. Hopefully NEFC locked in the price and length of their deal with them. Otherwise the NEFC kids will simply moving to Breakers. Wow.

This just gets more interesting. USSF has a big fight on its hands. Next move is yours, USSF.

Technically, it doesn't reference 'NEFC' at all. Even the NEFC website says, 'NEFC partner, Boston Breakers Academy accepted into ECNL'. Is there a true distinction between the 2 entities?
