    NPL Northeast Commitments

In researching the recruiting timeline for Northeast NPL players I found this: http://www.nationalpremierleagues.com/home/879036.html

What happened to FC Boston NPL? Surely they had several kids go on to play somewhere so what gives?

I realize that but I still question why there are no FC Boston kids listed, and commitments aren't on their website like most other clubs. It would be helpful for prospective families to see this information. All other NPL Northeast clubs contributed.

Thanks for posting the link - good find. Is it possible that FCB wants to be anonymous and avoid the negative side of publishing that info. Someone did post their internal flyer for commits back in feb.

FCB did not have an 18 NPL team last year. This year's 18 NPL is the first NPL team reaching u18 for FCB. This team began NPL at u16. They are just reaching 18 NPL. They have plenty of players committed. D1,D2, and D3.

Commitments lists are for club advertising. They entice future customers and unfortunately build unrealistic expectations for many parents and players.

A better gauge of whether a club placed their charges well is actual success in college.

Look back at some of the commitments lists of this years 2016 college graduating class and if 4 or 5 from a specific club remain at the same university, playing all 4 years, the club did pretty well. Not sure anyone has ever examined this closely, but my impression from the few grades and clubs I am familiar with is more than 1/2 of the "committed" players don't play 4 years.

Are these commitments posted anywhere? As a prospective family it would be useful to know.

Some clubs don't list and with good reason(and negative too - they might not have much to say). If someone was genuinely interested they can ask the club directly. If you've spent more than 3 minutes on TS you'd know why you don't want your kids name ever possibly showing up here

If you aren't in the club sending an email to inquire about NPL college commitments seems obnoxious. When a club posts the data it is easier to make decisions, that is all.

This would be a good list for the Bolts to display. Otherwise, the Bolts are yet to demonstrate that they give a rat's arse for any non Academy related team.

it is very obvious they do not care about non academy player, like GPS care noting about non NPL team (except for collecting the millions of wasted dollars)

must have had no college players last year, not suprising

They are talking about the FC Boston Scorpions girls list not the Bolts.

ECNL players commit to D1. Read the list. There may be 2 commitments listed there to schools with RPI's under 150. Most are D2 and D3. Good for those kids, and I'm sure many are happy where they are (maybe even far happier than the ECNL kids sitting on ACC or Big10 benches). But they're not going to schools with the same level of soccer.
