What is the feedback from parents regarding the current state of the girls program at Pinecrest? My understanding is that many changes have occurred over the past few years. Have the changes been positive or negative?

As an outsider at a neighboring program, the teams are still pretty darn good. All the clubs are going to have their shortcomings but they seem to get good talent and it shows on the field.

They have good teams but they play the dirtiest soccer I have ever seen.
Typical central/south american style of play and dirty tactics.
But besides that and playing on cancer causing soccer field, they are ok.

Womens/Girls soccer is always going to be less elegant and have more contact than their male counterparts. Like anything else, there are those few exceptions but for the most part the women/girls game is a lot less fluid so you are going to have a lot of contact even if its not intentional. Their dexterity and coordination is just not at the same level as the boys.

Dirty Coaching
Holy cow, you have no idea how dirty the coaches have those girls playing, physical is one thing, stomping feet, stiff arming people, running and jumping into the air to take another kid off their feet is just plain crap. The girls have gotten so good they know how to do it when the ref isn't looking. Those coaches should be banned from youth sports.

Gimme a break, it's freaking travel soccer that's really not that great.

I know you see it, I know you hear it from other coaches, parents and players but you say nothing because your shame washes away with every W. Well there will come a time when you get a solid referee team that is not tied in with your club and the Ws will subside... Or there will come a time when your little girl throws an elbow and breaks another kids ribs and you get slapped with a lawsuit because everyone knows you know... Do the right thing, fire that sorry excuse for a coach, revoke his Visa and pray your girls aren't too far gone

This is exactly the type of response I would expect from a parent at that program. Our experiences of the years were exactly like those mentioned so far. Very dirty play, obnoxious coaches and parents. Unfortunately for them, we beat them all but once. What is worse is the obnoxious coach then unloaded on the kids and the parents were on his side.
Filth.
