The heartbreak of these parents will be hilarious.

Funny how many parents think this will make that much of a difference. The thought that Their kids will suddenly become Mia Hamm and Lionel Messi is funny.
The heartbreak of these parents will be hilarious.

The real funny part is that many clubs won't change anything. They can keep school dates for registration just like now and just have the younger calendar age play up. That would keep it just like it is now and keep their teams the same as now. Thats what many of the bigger clubs in Michigan and california are doing. The whole calendar age change is ignorant.

Most of the parental angst is just that. Kids that have to move teams will be fine. Kids make new friends all the time. It's good for their personal development. I'd be very worried if my kids were emotionally paralyzed by having to make new friends.

So I have a U11 now that has a 04 birthday... What will they play 2016-2017? 8V8(9V9) or 11V11?
I also have a U11 now that has a 05 birthday... What will they play 2016-2017? 8V8(9V9) or 11V11?

The U11 (05 Birthday) would play 9v9 next year.
The above is for non-DAP league play

DA is another example. Look how many players are born the first quarter of the year. Sounds like the heartbreak will be yours when your kid has to now play with older kids and goes from being a starter to the bench.
That's the realization that's going to kill idiots like you.
If your kid can play, he can play. Simple as that.
