    Westside / Girls Rec. Program

Does westside even have a competitive girls program anymore or is it simply a rec. program to pay for scholarships for Latino male players that can not afford competitive soccer?

We pulled our daughter and went to another club because of the poor coaching and lack of support for the girls side.

It used to have some quality girls teams just 5 to 10 years ago.

      Girls soccer is underwater soccer.

They funnel all their better girls to TS, so if you want to play 1st team for Westside, you gotta drive to Sherwood. I would think that pushes most girls in their area to Thusc, BSC and FCP.

Honestly I don't think there are good boys coaches there either. Going downhill fast.

Please quit trying to stir the pot, they won the lion's share of Boys State Championships this Spring.

I am not stirring the pot, just my opinion. Championships don't mean they have good coaches. I'm not saying there are good coaches elsewhere either.

BSC? Isn't that a Polo Club for the wealthy in the west hills.

Not a good argument for their girls program.

                    I have news for you!

                    THEY ARE ALL REC PROGRAMS!
Terrible DOC's = Terrible coaching staff = Teams that survive on physicality alone.

Welcome to girls soccer in Oregon.

My daughter plays for THUSC---we had 5-6 girls come over to THUSC, from Westside, last spring for tryouts. Ultimately, folks will shop around and find what they feel is the right fit, for their kid, or their family.

Westside coaches their state cup runs like its 1989

They play with sweepers some with two sweepers.

They never play out of the back using their GK all season long

Do they even have a curriculum?

                          THUSC sucks too?
Each coach runs on their own. No curriculum
No one follows a club plan

Truthfully, there are no real clubs around here. You have people playing somewhere because of what leagues they compete in. No one has a true club feel

It's all OYSA now baby! Well, unless you want to play ECNL.

Westside has a plan. How do we finance all those scholarships on the boys side? A: Have a girls side.

That's a little harsh to say about westside. At least T/S takes the beefy ones and gets a few wins before U13.
