    U of O

How long will they keep this coach? Why is this team not better? Or I should ask why the recruits aren't better. Watched the game yesterday. ASU had a red card early in the second half. And yet Oregon couldn't score. What does the future hold?

Isn't the coach's contract up at the end of this year? Time to give someone else a shot. Pac12 big sports school should easily be doing much better. Someone new couldn't do any worse...

Yes, Oregon TS cares. And they are the ONLY people who care about women's soccer. It's freaking bizarre.

USWNT is the ONLY women's team people care about. Unless you are Oregon TS. In that case, you live and die by youth girls soccer. It's nuts.

How are the attendance numbers for NWSL? Does anyone care even though they give tickets away?

Anyone can get behind the USA.

True. Oregon TS has a bunch of crazies... all kooks with DD's. Hard to explain.

                  Changes needed.

The UO program is not headed in the right way. The coach seems incapable of getting the job done. Time for her to go. It doesn't help that UO is the only PAC-12 school with artificial turf rather than the vastly preferred grass to play on. They had an excellent facility but football wanted the space a few years ago. Many current players not PAC-12 quality, especially local ones. Not looking good.

If I have a UO offer right now, even if I committed, I would be looking at other programs quickly.

The coach is awful. She doesn't practice the squad together. She has three squads, her favorites, the middle group that might be called in and the group that should leave. If you are not in the favorite group you don't even practice shooting on goal unless you do it on your own. Players do go and practice on their own but how do you build comradeship on that? The team is getting worse not better and most of it has to do with coaching as they have some talent. Even the parents of kids who are in the favorite group are fed up and disgusted. Coaches are Demi-gods though so what do you do but leave?

Which local girls are not Pac 12 quality? There are what 5 Oregon girls? I watch most Pac 12 games that are available for stream or on the network and only one is clearly not Pac 12 quality and probably isn't D1 quality but hey she is 6'1". I assume that is why she is there.

Define local? PDX? Oregon? There is only 1 PDX girl on the team all others are from Bend or southern Oregon. Most of the girls who have significant playing time are not from Oregon with the exception of Kristen Parr who is amazing and Maryn Beutler who is pretty average for the PAC 12.

I don't think the UofO has to worry about you playing for them. Even in your prime when you were extremely overweight you wouldn't of made the team.

It's about getting a school you are interested in attending academically to help pay for or at least help offset your tuition via scholarship. Unless you're a top 50 player in your graduating class, making a collegiate selection based on a program's win/loss success is absolutely, categorically ridiculous.
