    2015-2016 fspl

Based on the info below from the FSPL website, FSPL will not be solely for those that qualified and made Round of 16. Thoughts on this league getting watered down?

Congratulations to the 89 FSPL Teams who advanced to the FYSA State Cup Round of 16! FSPL represents the highest number of Round of 16 teams and the highest percentage of teams after the National League and Region III Premier League.

Entering into its fourth season, the Florida State Premier League exists to provide elite U14-U18 teams with the opportunity to compete against the most competitive teams within the state of Florida. The Florida State Premier League is operated by the FYSA State Office and serves as a statewide league designed to complement the USYS League Structure, including the USYS National League and Southern Regional Premier League. The overall direction of the league falls under the Florida State Premier League Commission. The 2015-16 Commission will be made up of various Club Directors of Coaching and Club Administrators throughout the state.
For the 2015-16 season, the Florida State Premier League will be accepting teams beyond the Round of 16 teams to create a highly competitive 16 team division. This is done in order to accommodate a number of quality teams that did not make the Round of 16 but would add to the level of competition already installed within the league. All teams will ideally play 15 games between August 15th and March 1st.

you are way late on this... FSPL will have 16 teams in each age division... they are working towards a 15 games season, so there is always few teams that decide to play RIII or NPL, which means it opens spot for teams that were outside of the round of 16

And we are led to believe that any open spots will be filled by high ranked good teams that didn't make round of 16. Better not be any Region Cup teams getting in!

n the U17G age group there are teams ranked 3 to 93.

Really FYSA, why allow this. A team ranked 93 has no business in this league, that team should be fined for stupidity!!!!!

There are many teams applied who did not even get out of the regional round of state cup and applying. That is embarrassing to put your name on that list.

The key to the list at the moment is ...."APPLIED". Not all of the teams on the list will make it in. Same thing happened last year. relax.

There's teams that didn't even PLAY state cup that applied! Like FYSA is gonna take a team that couldn't even win a Region Cup! Not!

Well, last year they had an A and a B division, is that going to be the case again this year? To me, once they go outside of the final 16 in State cup, it starts to water down the product. I would not want to have to go to the other side of the state to play a team that is ranked 35th.

The automatic acceptance goes to final 16 teams that apply. If only 12 of 16 apply, then there will be four open spots. My guess is these spots will go to the top ranked teams in the state (that didn't get to round of 16) and teams that finished highest in FSPL the previous season. That is the fair way to decide and keep league the most competitive.

Or just let all the Lakeland teams in. That seems fair too!!!

                      WSC White Rising U16

WSC's rising U16 White team (State Cup around 8 team) has broken up. The three remaining players (non impact players) were move to the B team. This is a team that failed to get out of Round 1 of Region Cup and could not even score a goal in the B division at Disney. The DOC decided to chance the name of the B team to the White (State Cup team). Do they get to keep the Premier League invite, even though there are just three players remaining from last yer's team. Are there any rule that would prevent them?

After the top 10 in the state, the next 20-30 can win against each other on any given day.

Must have at least 66.6% of last year's roster to keep the invite and it's still at the discretion of FYSA.

No, there won't be a league 2 this season - only league 1 with 16 teams.
