    Significance of State Cup

With the majority(notice I did not say all) but majority of the strongest players in the state playing DA and ECNL, what is the significance of State Cup anymore? I see teams that were 5-6 place in their own leagues at u13 now final four or winning state cup. Is U13 the only real State Cup year for boys? At U14 and U15 well over 100 strong players are no longer playing State Cup at those age groups as they are playing for DA teams. Is State Cup the new Region Cup?

I can't speak for the boys side, but for the girls side the majority of top teams are not playing ECNL. I would say the top teams are still Krush, Sunrise, etc. ECNL has diluted the pool, but in a face off between ECNL and FYSA I would still take FYSA.

In what age group would ECNL be better than FYSA in Florida?

Winning State Cup still puts a team somewhere in the top ten of best teams for their age group in Florida. Be it in some age groups it might be numbers 7-10 but others 3-5. Usually the older the team, the less it means.

There are TWO teams at each age group playing ECNL - so you're saying those 18 girls per age group dilutes the ENTIRE AGE GROUP STATEWIDE? You ECNL people are a piece of work - you have to start yet another thread to try and find someway to make yourself feel superior to everyone else. News flash - you ain't all that and a bag of chips. When the top girls are flocking to ECNL, then you might have something to say. What we all see currently (we don't have blinders on) is ECNL picking off one or two girls per club from mediocre clubs that weren't doing them justice. We wish you well when you finally get in the top half and actually play some of the top ECNL teams in the country.

RP3 is equal to ECNL. FPL is close or equal in most age groups.

FPL is nowhere close to R3PL or ECNL.

The biggest problem is some teams are only playing in State Cup in the spring.Once knocked out they have no more games.

SOME of the best players play DA. Not all are geographically able to play. I would agree that there are some SC teams that can beat some DA teams. The thing is that DA runs on calendar year so a typical u16 DA teams is comprised of both u16 and u17 players per fysa age groups. So it doesn't nessessarily pull a whole team out of state cup.

They pull kids from all over the state and they still don't have the best teams in the state. Why are they so arrogant?

You are totally wrong to think that after 13 all the kids are developed enough that the DA or ENCL are able to pick the elite athletes. Some smaller clubs are able to actually develop kids because aren't close to a DA. Kids also leave or get cut from the DA or ENCL. The DA says they develop players is BS they recruit the top talent use the for what helps the coach win.
My sons coach plays every player in the regular season games and showcases but when it comes to SC he plays to win. They have been to Final 4 three times won twice. Obviously you haven't a clue that's why you asked the question.
Ask yourself of those 100 how many are politically aligned? 75% is a good estimate.
Some boys don't mature at the same rate and at 18 they aren't the same as 14 physically.
