Top ten reasons FYSA is awesome!!

    They offer competitive state leagues

They offer a much better year end cup event than US Club

They operate some of the best fields in the state which are centrally located

These great fields are used for the state tournament, but not all games

They offer access to very good travel leagues like R3PL, SRPL, and National League

Very positive! Are there club wide girls teams in USYSA National League much like US Club's ECNL? ECNL is about done admitting any more clubs and there is a need for more elite leagues for clubs to participate. It is time for Florida to form more regional elite teams.

FYSA protects current clubs and prevents innovation by competition. If they were a corporation it would be like a monopoly. Thank God for US Club. It offers simplicity and does not prevent competition from new clubs offering innovation. May the the bet product win is what US Club is all about. Not so with FYSA. In 5 years time, US Club Soccer leagues and clubs will dominate Florida Soccer and FYSA will be almost dead. Hang onto this quote until April 24th, 2020. Bring it up them and you will see I am 100% right. FYSA is scared to death right now and should be.

And.......this same stuff was said 5 years ago, and US Club is still a blip on the radar. Look at Florida Cup.....very few teams enter, including those that play in FPL. State Cup is by far the dominant tournament, not even close.

No one but parents watches the state cup. Why drive three, four, seven hours to play a game that no one cares enough to come and see.

Now if you just like the experience of driving around the state in search of a match, great.

Under the current Anti-trust laws, it is definitely a monopoly. It does not need to be a for-profit to be held accountable to anti-trust laws.

Notice that seeding points for State Cup have nothing to do with overall results. They are based on participation in FYSA events.

I see nothing wrong with FYSA awarding its leagues and events more points for FYSA state cup seeding.

State Cup IS an FYSA event... why would they worry about other entity when doing their own seeding?

Having the State Cup by the I4 every single year does a good job of keeping those Mexicans from Miami from stealing trophies from deserving rich white kids. We also don't have to drive to Alabama every 4 years.
