The Northwest id2/PDP invites are out for the 96-99's. Good luck to these 55 girls selected to participate. Do the NW proud! This will take place at University of Portland on April 18-19 and include the selections from oregon, Washington and idaho.

Don't Bother
This is the biggest sham I have ever seen. I was at one session and watched a player score 9 goals ( he was centerforward) but they called back a left back who had only played 10 mins and touched the ball twice but hey his dad was in the stand with the coach!!!!

Sadly, Oregon soccer is ruled by pay-to-play and who-you-know. Just the way it is. Maybe the same elsewhere in the u.s. too.Comment

Good luck and congratulations to them all. However, I don't know much about the program so I don't know what they are trying to achieve and what they get if they "win". There are 10 regional PDP events this year, how they could make the NW proud is that there will be about 100 girls selected from the approximately 550 girls across the country to attend a national camp event at the Nike campus in the summer time. It would be great to have some NW representation at that Camp, especially from Oregon. Since the only cost to the girls that make that camp is tranpsooration, this is a great opportunity for our girls to get some extra training at a high level and not have to pay for it! Tom ran one a couple years ago and has not been asked back to help again. He set it up and changed the format of it to get his girls looks and others not. Even the other coaches there were not happy with him and how it was run. His girls the few of that will be there are going to have to bring there A game as there was only 60 girls selected 30-96&97 30-98&99 from oregon washington idaho and utah. The invites just went out and The rosters should be sent out soon and we will get to see who's going. It should be a fair and great showing of talent out there and let's hope the NW can put some of the 90 selected across the country in the mix to attend the national event at the Nike headquarters. This is different, that was a local OPL event, and the coaches doing the looking were local OPL coaches for extra practice, this is different by far, as the format is the same around the country and has nothing to do with the local coaches/directors, but I I will say A for effort in slamming Tom while then second half of your post actually giving good info.Originally posted by Unregistered View PostComment

You seem to remember the PDP event im Referring to, funny, huh. The slams Tom get are more then deserving and he has created his own issues with the soccer community. He is the a typical example of the coach/DOC that everyone here refers to as a sleazy used car sales man. Yes this event will be different and better because people like him can't modify and change and have no say in what happens.
