Where are the Stars at as a club

NEFC just had a bunch of teams do well at showcase tournament over the past couple of weekends and start their NPL season this up coming weekend. The Stars also start their ECNL season this weekend and then have their big San Diego event coming up in a couple of weeks. It is probably safe to say that both clubs will do extremely well in their respective leagues and it is pretty clear that a number of NEFC teams will be a major factor in the up coming NPL championships. The initial question then is do we see any of the Stars teams being able to have a comparable showcase performance out in San Diego? The bigger question though is where will their performance out in San Diego slot their teams for the ECNL championship and do we see any Stars team being capable of results similar to the NEFC U15's in it. If not what does that portend for the Stars future?

BTTD, your Dad is in the Hall of Fame. One of the living legends and most revered sports figures in New England sports history. And here you are on a 7+ years run still battling over youth soccer clubs. Can you help us explain your cognitive dissonance? You've been posting all day and all night per usual. Just goes on and on and on.

Answer is pretty obviously NO and it means the Stars are sinking pretty fast.

So you can't explain your cognitive dissonance. I guess that makes sense. Unfair request given your limitations.

Witness another spectacular Perspective meltdown. They're a pretty regular spectacle now. It's hard not to feel just a tiny bit sorry for him. What a tortured mind.

Tired tactic, BTDT. Doesn't work. Let's start with who started two brand new bash Stars threads today. Does that put you over 50 for your career?

Good night, BTDT. Tomorrow will be here soon enough. Do us all a favor and punch out for the night.

Wow. Truly sad. If the story about his family background is true, it's really tragic. Can't imagine anyone acting like this.

Sinking is not the word to describe the current state of the Stars. The word "Sinking" screams going out of business, folding up shop and leaving town, and thats just not anywhere near the truth. Stars are still a very strong club with the ability to get leverage, and the upper hand over NEFC with just 1 or 2 of the right players deciding they want out for a different coach, or even the addition of a player or two from another club. I can see a scenario where a player a NEFC becomes frustrated, and doesn't think the coach is helping them improve for HS, or preparing them for a top flight college, and leaves. I think that whoever decided to write this and kick some dirt in the face of their opponent while their down, might want to think twice before taking it further. Both clubs have their good and bad, and both will be up one year and down a little the next, but they aren't going anywhere. The one thing I would not want to happen, and we all saw this with the Scorpions, is try and keep the staff that helped get you there.

Wow, how times change. 3-4 years ago all that you read here was every player needed to play for the Stars if they wanted to be taken seriously. Now they are a club that is apparently dependent on other clubs screwing up and picking up the dissatisfied players. This whole post is just a symptom of the decline.

Thanks BTNT, and yes, save yourself the confirmational "not who you think" line, you are indeed BTNT.

The sheer volume of posts that denigrate the Stars is proof of a pathological obsession with that club and a serious inferiority or wannabe complex on behalf of the protagonist. A compliment to the state of Stars in reality. Thanks BTDT!

NEFC obsesses about Stars but Stars obsesses about ECNL opponents not NEFC.

The only fact here is you are clearly steering the discussion away from the status of the Stars organization. Guess that confirms that there is so little to cheer about in the club that changing the discussion is the only sensible course of action.
