It appears that you didn't invest the most important element in your own education - time. You appear to have skipped a few English classes. You're about as sharp as a soccer ball. As a matter of fact, I've seen heads of iceberg lettuce that are probably smarter than you.

Test scores from public school are the same as private school.

Many of the kids doing ECNL are also doing private school so it is not really one or the other.

Private schools are not about test scores. They're about networking with other wealthy kids. Same with college. Wealth creates wealth through connections with other wealth.

I agree. It stifles any ability to have any conversation threads. I don't think it is a parent of an ECNL or Thorns player. The person may not even be a parent. Too bad they don't go troll the newspaper comment section... oh yeah, you can't do that anonymously.

You obviously have no idea what private school costs. From the looks of it, you haven't spent much time in school either.

Anyone who played on a traveling team before ECNL understands it isn't that much more than what they paid before. Anyone who doesn't want to travel as much as ECNL demands is free to continue playing local soccer. Common sense.... some of us know.

Tests in public schools are built to be "equal" so no one is left out.
have you not been to a recess in elementary school? Where kids can't even play games because school officials don't want to hurt feeeeeeeeeeelings. There is no pecking order in or out of the classroom in public school. I'm with the OP, we are raising soft kids that expect help from others instead of making it on their own....our society has become soft....

It depends on the public school. The best of the best public schools are better than most privates. Some public schools suck and some are great. The same with private schools. Some have great academics and some are lousy. You can't make blanket statements about either one.
