Jozy Altidore from Sunderland to Timbers?

Well its transfer time over in Europe and one of the stories coming out is that the Timbers are interested in bringing in Big Jozy!!!!!!

Just shows the lack of vision by the Timbers again. This guy cant get a starting place in a team that's looking like they might be relegated to the Championship.

Another Boyd is see coming. LA get Gerrard we get Alitidore shows the difference in aspirations.

We need a goal scorer this guy cant score goals lets look elsewhere. Maybe Darren Bent he is out of contract at the end of the season.

Would be an interesting signing if it happened, but would think bigger MLS teams would get him first. Hopefully not a Boyd situation all over again.

Jozy has been a disaster at Sunderland, but he was productive in Holland in the MLS before + solid on that national team. If we could get him, would jump at it.

However, to MP's recent comments on Facebook (dozens of players he would take before the Zlatan): he is nuts. Would take Zlatan in a heartbeat over Jozy, even if the former is a complete pain in the ass.

Lazy, arrogant, non scoring forward. Perfect for the drooling moronic Timber fans.

PTFC should not waste their time on Altidore. Find a proven veteran striker that could still be productive for a couple of seasons and help groom Adi. Go after Adebayor! Tottenham is looking to sell him.

Adi over Altidore? I'm no Jozy fan (at all!) but... maybe a bit more of a Jozy fan than an Adi fan.

If they could get Jozy at a reasonable price, they would be nuts not to try to get him . . . he is still young, and while his stay in Sunderland has been remarkably bad, he has scored every where else he's played including the national team. MLS is a far, far cry from the EPL.

Adebayor would be great, even if remarkably inconsistent in his career . . . don't know if MLS teams can afford him, especially the Timbers.

touche . . . I sill care about the Timbers even if they are frustrating (and MLS is, well, the MLS)

Jozy was a huge contributor for the US before he got hurt.
