US Club posts the lists of who attends. As far as who is invited to a specific camp, attendee lists usually pop up just about the time of the camp itself. If you go to the US Club website, you can see back over the past year or two which clubs have sent kids to which camps.

Does it matter? It's a feather in the cap of the kids who get invited, and comparable to something like making an ODP regional team in terms of the talent level you'll find there. It's a step below NT camp for sure, but no question that some kids who have excelled at id2 have gone on to get called into a youth NT camp.

Kids can point to it as part of their soccer/recruiting resume, and the clubs get some mileage out of it by showing that they have developed a player or two that US Club scouts have recognized as talented. Once nice thing about it, as compared with ODP, is that costs -- outside of travel to and from -- are all covered by Nike and US Club, where ODP is all out of pocket.

Mass in a couple of weeks

There is one in Taunton beginning September 25. Probably see many kids from ecnl clubs (2-4 / team) and DA in region 1,2 and 3 Also see many NPL clubs (1-2 probably except NEFC '99 which might have more ) Both u14 and u15 for girls ('00) and u13 and 14 for boys ('01). There will be some 01 girls included. The last camp in December (AZ) will have many region 4 kids.
There is a national id2 camp that will happen after the 4 regional camps. It is essentially the allstar camp. There have been kids advanced to a look at u14 national camp from id2. The idea is the clubs are supposed to put forward kids who have not been seen at national camp yet. But it is a feather in their cap to have kids included. It is also a definite resume builder for the kids themselves especially if they are moved forward to the national camp.
Boys are shooting for inclusion in the big international trip. It is well publicized. Always heavily represented kids from PDA and redbulls. PDA coach is the guy that takes them overseas. However there is a significant overlap between the u14 ynt and the trip participants. They also take one or two underage kids.
It's also very political because it is the coach who recommends the kids. Some clubs have a couple of free entries. Others are actually scouted. I am not sure if they have ever included a kid who only has participated in Usysa programs. It is a us club run odp program.

They do indeed include kids from USYSA programs, we had two last summer that went and we are not a us club program/team.

Also DA players as far as I know are not allowed to attend.

There has not been on posted, so far as I know. In fact, they may not post it until the camp is completed on Sunday. I seem to remember that is how it went with the previous two.

                    ID2 recognized players

Although USSDA rules state otherwise, there are several FT Development Academy kids participating in both Id2 and ODP. Simply compare current U-13/14 USSDA rosters/game reports with 2014 PDP rosters and regional ODP team rosters to see the names. With the US National Team focusing the majority of their recruiting efforts towards the DA Teams, Id2 and ODP should police their rosters and as the rule states... not allow FT Development Academy kids in. If already identified kids are participating in Id2 and ODP, that means fewer opportunities for those diamonds in the rough!

I think they should invite those they deem worthy, regardless of affiliation. Diamonds in the rough can still attend!

                            Id2 Recognized Players

If players are already being scouted at USSDA events, then it makes sense to exclude them from ODP and Id2. These (DA, ODP and Id2) are pathways to the US National Team and not everyone has a DA nearby to play in and be scouted. Id2 and ODP an opportunity for the non DA kid to be scouted. With 42 of 48 players in U-14 National Team Pool coming from DA and 16 of 18 from U-16's as announced today for a trip going to France already scouted this further strengthens the argument to not allow DA FT players into Id2 and ODP.

                              Pre academy

Little lepore is actually on the Pre academy team so he can still do odp and play ID2. My point is the kid is a little **** and he is not good. Ridiculous pops sends him.
