    Daddy coaches

It's a new year. Who has a new coach who happens to be a daddy coach? If so , is his kid a starter? Was he a starter last year? Fun stuff right ?
Funny how you can become a starter once daddy steps in. This is happening to my daughters team and no one seems to be doing anything about it except talking amongst themselves. What should parents do about this?

Speak directly to the coach. If not resolved go to a higher up. Good luck. We've been in this type of situation .

And you think posting on TS is the right path to victory in your situation. Talk to the coach and their director. If that doesn't work then go to the executive director. This is the right path for you. NOT THIS SITE!

Not easy to do when the dad is on the board and has a major day in the club. This guy won't and can't step away from coaching his kid.

I have no problem with Daddy coaches if they are qualified and many of them are.

and the whining begins. Did you do your research before your joined the team? You should have known who is the coach and you should have known if his son plays on the team. I am sure you knew all this so shut up and play the season

Totally Agree!!! Also, not all daddy coaches are bad coaches and most of the time their kids are good players. I've seen many daddy coaches be harder on their own children.

There should not be daddy coaches at the Senior level in my opinion

Great point. No one realized this was your opinion. Hey Soccer change the rules now. Baseball, Football, Basketball
& Hockey, it's business as usual till this guy says so.

Quit talking to each other and get involved. It's a commitment. If you can't do that then no whining.

Nothing more pitiful than a fat daddy 3v3 coach.

Strongly feel that parent coaches do not work well with their own kids on the team; either too hard on them or place them on a pedestal!

But a bigger gripe is A-0's posting specific clubs, gender and age brackets! Most kids did not ask their parents to coach, so calling them out on TS is really nasty!

If you are unhappy with the circumstances, play up, play down, or change club.
